Episode 1 of our big road trip to the ocean in our homemade camper! We had the perfect start all planned out — but the adventure kicked off before we even crossed the border from Moldova, with a serious electrical failure right before the checkpoint.

This vlog is real vanlife: hours of roadside DIY repairs, then hunting for a wild camping spot in Romania. We found an amazing overlook in Iași — but our "no campsite" lifestyle threw us a curveball: a full-on DJ party that went until 5 a.m., right next to the van!

After a sleepless night, we pushed on. Coming up: stunning Romanian mountain scenery, the colorful Maramureș region, the one-of-a-kind Cimitirul Vesel (Merry Cemetery) in Săpânța, and a peaceful night camping near the Moisei Monastery in Rodna National Park.
